The Nanoq museum is during the winter run by the Museum Director and the Curator. During the summer we hire 3-4 guides who takes care of the public.

Museum Director Pentti Kronqvist

Pentti is the founder of the museum and its spirit. He has himself participated in and led own arctic expeditions and has visited Greenland and the Arctic regions about 13 times.

He is nowadays retired from his job at the firedepartment and runs Nanoq in his sparetime. If you want to be sure to encounter him at the museum it's best to make an appointment with him beforhand.

Curator Johanna Enroth

Johanna is Nanoqs first full-time employee and has been at the museum since August 2009.
She has a masters degree in history and has studied museology.

She takes care of most of the administration and guiding in the winter, but is also engaged in most of the museums businesses.
